Polar Bear essays

Polar Bear essays Who would have guessed Arctic is derived from the Greek word arktos meaning bear, and is a reference to the constellation Ursa Major, or Great Bear, which appears prominently in the northern sky (Hare 150)? The polar bear, a habitant of the Arctic, is the largest living carnivore. Three interesting components of a polar bear are its care and maintenance, reproduction, and unique characteristics. An interesting aspect of polar bears is its care and maintenance. Polar bears can be found near the North Pole, in a 150-mile diameter all around. Hare, the author of Animal Habitats said, They are found to dig dens to survive fierce blizzards and the bitter cold(Hare 151). The polar bear has fur that is different from any other animal. It helps to adapt to its climate and stalk its prey. Close to their bodies they have a woolly layer of fur to keep them warm, but their skin is actually black to absorb heat from the sun. Their fur looks white because it is hollow and reflects the sun (Hare 130). Wexo says, Fur on polar bears is actually yellowish not pure white like most people think Wexo (11). It is a yellowish because of the oxidation of the sea oil (Hare 131). For cubs the color of the fur is bluish white, then goes to a creamy white, finally when an adult it stays at this yellowish color. In the book Polar Bears Wexo said that the light color of its fur helps the pola r bear hide as it stalks its prey (11). One way that a polar bear gets its food is by stalking prey or waiting for seals to come up for air from under the water (http://web14.epnet.com/citation.asp>). Polar bears mainly eat young seals, usually ringed, but will eat bearded, harp, and hooded seals. They prefer seals but have also been known to scavenge for dead walrus, eggs and beach cast carrion. During the summer, when they dont have snow for cover or ice for the access to the seals...

Essay Example He also helps the composers connect their creative and innovative ideas with the need of the audience for musical freshness and beauty. The various types of classical music are played free of charge with the major goal of building talents. The article made me reflect on and think about a number of things as far as talent development is concerned. Firstly, it gave me a picture of the university as a place that is not only meant for academic excellence but also a place to nurture talents in other fields. This is contrary to the misconception held by many that the university involves serious study with no play. It is quite interesting that the Music Today Festival is organized and coordinated by one of the university’s senior professors, Kyr Robert. It also made me reflect on the importance of music, especially for professional means. Considering that the professor heads the music department in the university, it seems that there are institutions that value music not only as a way of entertainment but also as a profession. I also came to understand that there are students studying music as a course, just for professional purpose. This made me remember one question that is very common, especially among journalists, when interviewing musicians; â€Å"apart from music, what else do you do?† many people have taken music not as a career but as a way of entertainment. The article is a good source to teach the society on the importance of music not only as a means of entertainment but also as a profession. In other words, the article mainly triggers thoughts about the importance of music in the society as well as the role of music as a way of relaxation to enable students study better. One thing that surprised me is that the festival is not only unique in the University of Oregon alone. Several other institutions place a high value on music and use it as a way of nurturing talents and enhancing

Aggregate Demand and Supply Models Essay Example for Free

Aggregate Demand and Supply Models Essay As it stands currently the existing effect of the economic factors on aggregate demand and supply are: unemployment, consumer income, and interest rates. In this paper we identify the existing effect of the economic factors on aggregate demand and supply. The American people have little to no income when unemployed, this in turn causes a decrease in demand for the economy. This type of event causes the aggregate demand to curve to the left. One of the main reasons unemployment remains high to this day is the lack of demand. A shortfall in aggregate demand is precisely the type of issue that can be addressed by monetary policy, however, to do so we need continuous monetary stimulus to progress toward maximum employment stability. The crash of the housing market has set tremendous limitation on consumer and their spending. Sternness on behalf of the government to a certain extent has decreased aggregate demand during this recovery period. These actions have directly impacted growth. What this means to us is that lower government spending and higher taxes call for disposable income for consumers, work for government contractors diminishing, and a decrease in government payroll. Another factor that has had great effect and impact are the levels of uncertainty. The events leading to this state have yet to be resolved which in turn have caused a lack of willingness and confidence within consumers. In the beginning the levels of uncertainty reflected the force of influence the recession had on us as consumers . This is something that had not been experienced in several years which made it difficult for us to handle or even find a way to get by in a more successful demeanor. After extensive research and analysis it is safe to say the supply-side considerations explain some of the rise in unemployment, which once again confirm the lack of demand as well as the fact that the economy is suffering first and foremost of a weak demand rather than a shortage of supply. Being A Millionare Isnt For Me :: essays research papers

â€Å"You have just won a million dollars!† shouted Regis on the most popular show that has ever hit television. A fifty-one year old retired, high school teacher sat on the hot seat in absolute amazement. In seconds his life changed from being an ordinary, retired father of two, and living with his wife in a small Manhattan home to becoming a millionaire. I sat in my living room wishing that it was me who had answered that last question correctly in that seat, instead of sitting in my favorite black leather chair that faces the television at a perfect angle. I would have done anything to be that man at that moment. I couldn’t imagine what was going through his mind. There I was, sitting at home, watching all the excitement on television, dreaming for my life to be different. How easily I had forgotten all of the good things in my life. Indeed there was a million things for me to be happy about. I had a wonderful handsome husband, a bright young nine-year-old daughter, a son in his pre-teenage years and so much more. My life wasn’t bad at all, â€Å"money isn’t everything,† I thought to myself. â€Å"Knock†¦. Knock†¦knock.† sounded the door to wake me out of my short daydream. Remembering that I had lent our bag of sugar to a friendly neighbor, I walked towards the door, unlatched the top latch and then the bottom. I was shocked to see two men standing at the door. They stood in full uniform, with stern faces, both tall and well built. I didn’t know what to think, my eyes began to sting and I could feel them fill with tears. Something within me said that bad news was upon me. â€Å"Ma’am, we are very sorry to inform you that†¦Ã¢â‚¬ â€Å"NO, STOP RIGHT THERE† I screeched. The taller of the two stepped forth and drew me towards him as the other man continued. â€Å"We are very sorry ma’am, but there has been a terrible accident, your children and your husband were killed this evening†¦ there was nothing anybody could do.† I could not believe it; all three of them were perfect. My husband worked with the church, he was always faithful to our religion and, both of the kids were following his footsteps. It was as if someone had taken a million knives and pierced them into my heart.

Quantum Physics

However, it must be noted that the European Debt Crisis is still going on in most of the European countries, and thus, It might be more favorable for Ping An to focus on the Salsa- Pacific market where most of the markets are still emerging and most importantly, hose markets have low correlation with the impact of global economy crisis due to lesser trading activities with those countries affected by the crisis. In order to penetrate successfully Into emerging market and less developed countries such as India, Vietnam and Africa, one needs to understand several factors relating to the target markets such as local cultural & customary practices, size & scope of possible opportunities, understand needs and wants of consumers and observe how the services are used In the market and by whom. Moreover, the strategy Ping An choose o pursue foreign market opportunities usually depends on a number of factors including cost of alternative strategies, the amount of inherent risks involved, gover nment regulations and local market conditions. While asset management had been slow to take off in most developed countries, insurance sectors are growing rapidly In emerging economies. Supported by favorable macroeconomic factors including population growth and rising income levels such as the case of India where the Indian insurance industry emerged as one of the fastest developing markets of he global insurance industry (Money Control 2011). Some of the market entry strategies that Ping An could use Include setting up wholly owned subsidiaries In these emerging market. This Is when 100% of the substandard common stock Is owned by Ping An. With such strategy, Ping An could introduce its insurance products to the locals according to their needs and wants. Moreover, in order to compete with the rest of the insurance companies in India, Ping An would need to engage in product Innovation so as to better match the risk profile of policy holders and making ales and marketing more responsi ble & answerable (Parker 2012). Ping An could also engage in less risky strategy such as partnering with the local insurance companies or Joint ventures.A Joint venture Is a strategic alliance where 2 or more parties, usually businesses, form a partnership to share markets, Intellectual property, assets, knowledge and profits. Such strategy is deemed to be less risky since the local partnership might provide Ping An access to greater resources including, specialized staff and technology. Moreover, local companies would have greater understanding of the local's needs and wants, allowing Ping An to customize insurance products that suits the needs of policy holders. However, it must be noted that the main disadvantage of such strategy is that in most joint ventures, objectives are usually not 100% clear and communicated with everyone involved, thus this could lead to unwanted dispute between parties (Allen 2011). Last but not least, Ping An could also engage In foreign direct Investmen t by purchasing the shares of another insurance company in the emerging market. For example, India recently has 1 OFF companies (Chuddar and Kola 2014). Such opening of the sector could be consider as an opportunity for Ping An to penetrate into the large IIS$ 66. Billion Indian market (FIEF 2014). However, rigid due diligence must be done about the local insurance companies prior investing to prevent any mishaps or poor performance of the company. In conclusion, Ping An could consider engaging in these market entry strategies that have been posit earlier but there is a need to weigh both the advantages and disadvantages of executing these different strategy so as to ensure a successful global expansion of Ping An insurance business.

Exploring the 1960’s

As an archeologist I have seen many things while traveling the world. But I recently came across an interesting time capsule in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. I would have never thought the 60’s were an eventful decade, since it was way before my time, but boy was I amazed at what I found. The invention and distribution of birth control pills gave a new freedom to women and their sexuality. The assassination of John Fitzgerald Kennedy, a young president that had a promising future, along with many other high profile men who had a large support following.Woodstock in upstate New York 1969 was a huge event that spawned many other festivals featuring several day events and equally rowdy crowds throughout the U. S. And my all-time favorite movie, debuted in 1968, George Romero’s Night of the Living Dead. In centuries past there have been many forms of birth control. In Egypt 1550 B. C, women would mix berries, herbs and honey as a vaginal suppository to kill sperm during intercourse.1 700’s Giovanni Casanova, and Italian adventurer and author, attempted a form of female condom with sheep intestine and lemon juice. In 1839, Charles Goodyear who vulcanized rubber, created the first true condom, douche syringes, and a womb veil or a form of a diaphragm, which was later officially called a diaphragm in 1880. But, it was not until 1960 that the first birth control pill, Envid was created, and almost half a million women were taking it for actual medical purposes other than a form of not getting pregnant. The creation of the birth control pill allowed a new freedom for women to explore their sexuality and not get pregnant, but it did not and still does not prevent sexually transmitted diseases. John Fitzgerald Kennedy, born on May 29, 1917, was not a very healthy child. Suffering from typically ailments such as whooping cough, chicken pox, and measles, almost did not make it after a battle with scarlet fever before the age of 3. He grew up as an Irish Catholic in Massachusetts. Though a sickly and slightly clumsy kid, being one of nine kids, he had a very dominant personality. In 1936 he entered Harvard University playing football alongside his older brother Joe; however he was not as good of a player as his brother and suffered a back injury that would never fully heal. His brother Joe was the one with the aspirations to become the first Irish President. His senior year at Harvard, he wrote his thesis based on why Great Britain was not ready to take on Germany. It was later published, called Why England Slept. Joining the Navy after graduating, he served as Captain on a PT-109 to keep the Japanese from delivering supplies to their soldiers. He was awarded the Medal of Honor from both the Navy and Marine Corps for his courage and bravery after a Japanese destroyer rammed the ship he was on, splitting it in 2, killing two of the twelve crew members. JFK rescued one of his shipmates who was severely burned, as well as the rest of the crew when he wrote a note on a coconut shell that was found by natives days later. In 1946, after his service time, he ran for congress in Massachusetts and won a seat. He went on to serve 3 terms and was then elected to the Senate. He wrote a book in 1957 regarding U. S. Senators who fought for what they believed in called Profiles of Courage, which won him a Pulitzer Prize. On July 13, 1960 he was nominated by the Democratic Party to run for President of the United States, making him the youngest President (43), and was elected the 35th President on January 20, 1961. On November 22, 1963 John Fitzgerald Kennedy, also known as Jack, was riding in a motorcade on his way to a luncheon when he was hit in the head and neck passing by the Texas School Depository in Dallas, Texas. Also hit was the Governor, who later recovered from his serious chest wound. John F. Kennedy was an advocate for fighting poverty, racial discrimination, disease, war and wanted to be the first country to put a man on the moon. His assassin, Lee Harvey Oswald, who also killed a police officer the same day, was himself assassinated by Jack Ruby, silencing the only man who could answer questions as to why Kennedy was killed. The assassination of JFK has been a controversial topic for many years and  until any documents and or photos come to light on who or what was behind his assassination we may never know.Kennedy was a big pusher for space exploration, and though he was not present to see his dream come true, on July 16, 1969, a team of three men were catapulted into space to be the first men on the moon. There have been many speculations as to whether this event even happened, even though there is video footage of the event, many question if it was actually just filmed on a Hollywood back lot.Since that first landing there has not been another U. S. man or woman on the moon, but there have been many who have entered space for further exploration, and it is expected that there will once again be a man/woman on the moon in the future, but for a longer period of time. Music makes the world go round. No matter what race, religion, gender or age, music can make us smile, laugh, love, cry, or calm us down. So what could bring the world together to send a message of peace, cultural expression, and openness? In 1969, more than half a million people travelled to Bethel, NY for a music festival that made sure many generations would be heard. In August 1969, over a 4 day period of time, 32 acts performed on a 600 acre dairy farm to bring awareness regarding the environment, universal human rights, free trade, and creative expression among other things. Performances by the great artists like Jimi Hendrix, the Who, Creedance Clearwater Revival and Crosby, Stiles and Nash. Many other music festivals have been established over the years but none have rivaled the original. The Woodstock Festival has been repeated two more times over the years, once in 1994 featuring bands such as repeat perfo rmer Joe Cocker, new bands of the time like Blues Travelers, as well as established bands like Metallica, Aerosmith, and also a repeat performance by Crosby, Stiles and Nash. Again, five years later, featuring Punk bands such as George Clinton and the P. Funk Band, The Offspring, and many others. Still maintaining the education of the importance of keeping our earth clean, trade among countries, and the importance of creative expression. Another form of expression is filmography.Over the years there have been a variety of movies created for our entertainment from comedy, drama, science fiction, documentaries, action and my favorite, horror. In my opinion, one of the best horror movies created was in 1968. George Romero’s Night of the Living Dead was awesome. Writer and Director George Romero went on to write many other horror movies after Night of the Living Dead, such as The Crazies (1973), Dawn of the Dead (1978), Day of the Dead (1985), the screen play for Stephen Kings Mo nkey Shines (1988), and two remakes of Dawn of the Dead (2004) and The Crazies (2010).The original Night of the Living Dead, did not have a well- known cast, and they did not go on to have a lucrative movie careers. The storyline is of siblings Barbara and Johnny traveling to Pennsylvania to visit the gravesite of their father. Attacked on their trip by a strange individual, Johnny is killed and Barbara runs to a nearby abandoned farmhouse or so she believes. Inside, she meets Ben, who is also trying to escape the unusual creatures that are attempting to attack them. Survival becoming key, they search the house for items they can use to keep themselves safe.Upon their search, they find a radio, and able find a working radio station they find out that radiation from a satellite that returned to Earth from Venus, is affecting the dead, and reanimating them, however it causes them to attack the living. Over the decades since the original screenplay, it has been reworked by many, but no thing Romero’s by far is my favorite. Our future is ever changing and if we have learned anything since the beginning of time is progress is important for an ever evolving world. Upon discovering the time capsule from the 1960’s, I am getting a better realization on how important change is to our future. The evolution of birth control, from Egyptians using an all-natural vaginal suppository to the creation of the pill to give women a freedom to have more sexual experiences without the consequences of pregnancy. Gulivers Travels Essays - Gullivers Travels, Houyhnhnm, Free Essays

Gulivers Travels Essays - Gullivers Travels, Houyhnhnm, Free Essays Gulivers Travels Gulliver's Travels Author Info Swift was dean of St. Patrick's Cathedral in Dublin when his novel came out. Since in this book he wrote about and often harpooned-prominent political figures, he published the book anonymously. While most readers were trying like mad to find out who the author was. Swift's close friends had fun keeping the secret. Londonwas stunned with thoughts about the author's identity, as well as those of some of his characters. Swift's dying years were a torment. He suffered awful bouts of dizziness, nausea, deafness, and mental incapacity. In fact, Swift's harshest critics tried to discredit the Travels on the grounds that the author was mad when he wrote it. But he wasn't. The Travels were published in 1726- and Part IV, which raised the most controversy, was written before Part III- and Swift didn't enter a mental institution until 1742. He died in 1745. The Plot Gulliver's Travels is the story about Lemuel Gulliver as he travels to the strange lands of Lilliput, Brobdingnag, the kingdom of Laputa, and the land of the Houyhnhnms. In Lilliput people are six inches high, and Gulliver, in comparison, is a giant, or a Man-Mountain, as the little people call him. Gulliver becomes involved with the domestic problems of the Lilliputian government. The government made to deal with Gulliver. The document outlines the terms of his freedom. One of these terms is that Gulliver must help the Lilliputians in their war against Blefuscu . Gulliver steels the enemy's fleet and takes it across the harbor back to Lilliput. For a short time he's a hero. But Gulliver intervenes in the peace talks, and gets a more profitable treaty for the Blefuscudians than they would have had gotten. After that it's downhill for Gulliver. When he pee's onto a fire at the palace and there by saves the royal chambers, he is put on trial for disobeying a law prohibiting public urination. This and some other charges against Gulliver result in a conviction of high treason, punishable by blinding. Gulliver doesn't feel like having that done so he escapes to Blefuscu. Part II, which takes place in the land of Brobdingnag. This time Gulliver is extremely small compared to the giant Brobdingnagians. After a short time as a working freak. Gulliver is rescued by the king and queen and lives a life of comfort. He spends much of his time learning the language and talking with the king about life in England. The king turns out to be as a fair, merciful ruler and a very sympathetic and humane man. Gulliver, in comparison seems petty, vindictive, and cruel like the Lilliputians. One day while on an walk with the king and queen, Gulliver's box/house is kidnapped by a bird with him inside and dropped in the sea, and is then recovered by an English ship. Gulliver stays in England a while with his family then goes back to sea. In Part III, where Gulliver goes to the flying island of Laputa and some of its colonies nearby. His first stop is Laputa, where the people have one eye turned inward and one eye turned up to the sky. They're thinking always of their own thoughts (inward) and of other issues like mathematics, astronomy and music (upward). They're so focused they need flappers to hit them self's on the ear to let them know someone is talking to them. The Laputans are so distracted from everyday life that they're barely aware of their wives. Because the Laputans are bossy rulers of their colonies, and because they pay little attention to Gulliver, he gets sick of them and goes on to the island of Balnibarbi. There Gulliver becomes friendly with Count Munodi, who is the only one on the island who lives in a nice well-built house and whose lands yield crops. The other people engaged in scientific research and do everything according to the most sophisticated way possible. Therefore their houses are in ruins and their land are the same way. Gulliver visits the Academy of the Projectors to learn more about them, and witnesses a series of totally useless, wasteful experiments. In Luggnagg Gulliver meets the Struldbrugs, a race of people who are immortal.

What Do I Do After Graduation Part One of a Two-Part Blog Series

What Do I Do After Graduation Part One of a Two-Part Blog Series What Do I Do After Graduation? Part One of a Two-Part Blog Series As graduation day approaches, you may be thinking about what to do after school ends and perhaps setting goals for the next stage of life. Starting a new chapter can be both exciting and challenging, but it’s perfectly normal to ask yourself, â€Å"What do I do now?† Some people will be starting out for the first time in a career, and others may be pursuing second or even third careers. Whatever your age, profession, salary level, or experience, your resume is a key factor in gaining employment. It must be prepared using the correct format and set of standards for resumes. Applicants are also expected to use specific keywords related to their profession. This information is very important, so you might consider going to a resume expert for help. Before anything though, you will need some information to build your resume and cover letter. Here is a helpful guide to creating a chronological resume meeting specific standards. These tips will guide you through the steps in writing a good first draft. To gain further expertise, consider taking a course in resume and cover letter writing. Preparing a Resume A resume is the first step in getting a job interview at your targeted company. It must show who you are in a way that will catch people’s attention and make you stand out. Employers often spend only a few seconds looking at a resume before moving on, so make them really want to keep reading. Focus on how you would fit the position and the company rather than just describing your related experience. A cover letter also plays a big role in that process. In most of North America, there are specific sections you must include in a resume and they have to be in a specific order: Contact information Career summary Employment experience Education or professional development Volunteer work, community service, or technical skills (optional and where suitable) Keep the length limited to one to two pages (the majority of professionals have a two-page document). It’s also standard to format both your cover letter and resume into the same document and convert it to a PDF file before submitting. Develop a standard resume and then tailor it based on the position for which you’re applying. The same is true of cover letters. Sections of the Resume Contact Information Your contact information has to be printed clearly at the top of the resume in the header, and it should contain your full name, address and phone number (in Canada), email address, and a link to your Linkedin profile. What you are not required to include is your date of birth, gender, parents’ names, and marital status. (In Canada, it’s not part of the standard format to include this information, and it’s illegal to ask about some of these aspects in an interview.) Your email address should sound professional; you may even want to set up a separate account for job hunting. Career Summary This section is crucial because it’s the employer’s first look at who you are professionally. Write a paragraph or two summarizing your main skills and why you’re right for the position. It should begin with a stated objective and how it pertains to the potential job position or role. This is the place to summarize your past and current experience and your career goals. Employment Experience List each of your past job positions from most to least current. Include the time period you were in the role and your general responsibilities. List (as bullet points) two or three of your main accomplishments within the position. This gives employers a much better idea of your performance and strengths. Notice the difference between â€Å"Management skills in the publishing industry† and â€Å"Successfully managed a large-scale international publishing project, securing a future two-million-dollar contract with the client.† The second statement tells the company much more about what you could accomplish if hired. Below each position, highlight any major projects you completed while you were there. Similar to when you list your overall accomplishments, give one or two brief sentences about what the project entailed and what you personally accomplished. Education or Professional Development Educational degrees or professional development courses should be listed in order with the most recent first, along with the year of completion and the institution you attended. Provide information about awards or distinctions you received and any theses or dissertations you completed. Additional Information Some people like to add a section to their resume outlining volunteer work or community involvement. If it pertains to the position you want, feel free to do this. However, if it’s irrelevant, be careful not to overdo it. Briefly list no more than three or four experiences. If the job youre applying for is a technical position, you could add a section called â€Å"Technical Skills.† Keywords One fairly new development in the world of employment and job searching is the requirement to use keywords specific to your profession in your cover letter and resume. Keywords are search words or terms that employers type into employment websites to look for potential applicants. When your resume includes these keywords, there’s a greater chance that potential employers will see it and contact you. In an interview, those keywords will show them that you have all of the specified job qualifications. Keywords should be spread throughout every section of your resume. If you want to determine what the keywords should be, think about key skills and terms in your profession and look at the specific job advertisement. Pick keywords out of the ad and use them in the resume and cover letter. Those are the words the employer will want to see. Keywords include: school names, names of employers, profession-specific awards, soft skills, foreign languages, job-specific skills and knowledge, job titles, affiliations and union memberships, industry credentials, licenses, degrees, tools, equipment, and technical applications. Hopefully, this guide has helped you put together a solid draft of your resume. If you’re new to a field, consider writing a functional resume that highlights skills rather than experience in a specific area. European Union Legislation Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 1500 words

European Union Legislation - Essay Example According to the report findings European social model has been directed toward new investments in the skills of Europeans so they will be able to compete more efficiently in national and global labor market. According to Barcelona European Council, sound social, policy is based upon several elements: economic performance, steadfast social protection and social dialogue. The welfare state should induce its citizens to work as the work according to the statements of Barcelona Council is the best guarantee of social participation. As the paper stresses many aspects of the social policy are defined by individual states: the question is whether it is possible to establish effective common social policy of the European Union. As the Union consists of many nations with various historic past and consequently different economic and social conditions, it is imperative to take into account these differences in the developing of social policy of the European countries, however at the same time some basic common social standards that must be followed by all European members are also required, as these states face many common social problems as well. Ageing of the population. Some persons claim that it is one of the greatest social challenges that EU countries currently face. European countries try to resolve these problems by implementing new programs aimed to increase labor participation of older people and reforming new social protection legislations. In spite of the fact that EU countries are trying to promote active ageing of its workforce, (attracting more people to enter and stay in employment) recent protests in several EU countries show that this decision will not be accepted universally. As population of EU continue to grow and fewer younger workers will be entering labor market, another possibility of resolving this crisis-immigration is being studied. However, in order to be successful more active approach is needed as EU still lacks common immigration policy as well. With high level of emigration from new EU countries, this problem has been partly resolved in few states with booming economies such as UK and Ireland. Social rights of migrant workers, who work in various countries have been protected by Regulation 1408/ 71 and 574/72. 3 In order to resolve the second problem, European Social Fund has been created. The main goal of this fund is to increase participation rates of population in labor markets in various countries.4 However, one should take into account the fact that regulations mentioned do not substitute national ones, but rather coordinate them. All nations have right to determine specific elements of their national social systems, provided that they are based on the equality of the treatment and non discrimination approach. EC treaty provides several levels of legislation aimed to guarantee equal treatments of all persons- men and women in the labor market, assure anti-discrimination approach, facilitate free movement of people and protect workers from various hazardous working conditions as well as provide them with detailed information on various
